Consistent performance for web tasks

I've been a BrowserAct user for a while now, mainly using the Real-time Web Data Extraction and Automated Login Handler. This latest order for more credits was just as smooth as previous times. The platform is reliable; I haven't noticed any major changes in performance or speed compared to my earlier uses. It consistently handles dynamic content and complex login flows, which is why I keep coming back. They've maintained good service.

Good features, slow support

I purchased the Headless Browser Cloud and also used the CAPTCHA Solver. The browser cloud itself worked well for my automation tasks; it handled dynamic content like a champ. The CAPTCHA Solver was also effective, which saved me a lot of hassle. However, I had a question about a specific integration with the LLM Web Navigation Tool and it took almost 3 days to get a detailed response from their support team. While the eventual answer was helpful, the wait was a bit frustrating. Everything else, like ordering and getting access, was smooth.

Fast setup, good results

Got the AI Agent Web Actions package. Setup was fast. The agents navigated pages really well and pulled the info I wanted. It saved me a lot of time on a repetitive task.

Good for my small project

I used the Data API for a little project I was messing with. It was pretty straightforward to get going, which was nice since I'm not super techy with this stuff. Didn't hit any big snags. Overall, it just worked out fine for what I needed.

Easy to set up

Needed to extract data. Used the Web Scraping API. Setup was quick. Data came through fine. No issues. Recommended.

Data API worked fine

I tried out the Data API for a small project. It was pretty straightforward to get going, didn't hit any snags with the setup. The data extraction was clean, which was nice. Delivery of the data was quick too, so overall, a good experience for what I needed.

Worth the initial credits

I was looking for something to help with web automation and saw BrowserAct offered some free API credits to start. That was a big plus for me, as I wanted to test it out without spending anything right away. I tried the LLM Web Navigation Tool, and it performed well for what I was trying to achieve. The initial credits let me see how useful it would be without any commitment. Definitely felt like I got good value to try it out, and I'll consider a paid plan.

Decent, but support could improve

I've been using their Headless Browser Cloud for a few weeks now. The functionality is pretty solid, and it handles most of what I throw at it without much fuss. However, I had a specific question about integrating it with some custom scripts, and it took a couple of days to get a clear answer from support. The pricing for annual billing is good, and it feels like a decent value overall, but quicker support would make it even better. I'll probably stick with it.

Hey, thinking about trying BrowserAct. Does it actually handle those annoying CAPTCHAs, or will my AI agents just get stuck?

S Sean Smith 1 week ago
Yeah it does, been using it for a few months. It's one of their main features. Keeps my stuff running pretty smoothly without getting blocked.

A Adam Clark 1 week ago
They say it does on their site. I haven't hit a CAPTCHA wall with it yet, but my use case isn't super heavy. Seems legit though.

hey, was looking at BrowserAct for some web automation. how's the pricing work? do they have like, a free tier to try stuff out before committing?

A Amanda T. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they totally do! I started with some free API credits, I think it was like 50 bucks worth, which was plenty to test out my project idea.

G Grace M. 2 weeks ago
They've got a free tier and then it's usage-based after that. You just pay for what you use, pretty standard for these kinds of services.

I'm a student working on a side project, any chance BrowserAct has discounts or free stuff for students?

M Melissa R. 2 weeks ago
I think they do! Check their FAQ or reach out to their support. A lot of these dev tools offer student programs.

K Kyle White 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I saw something about student discounts. Also, you usually get some free API credits just for signing up, which is a good way to test it out.

how does BrowserAct compare to something like Browserbase or Apify? looking for something robust but also easy to integrate.

K Kyle White 1 week ago
I've used Apify before, and BrowserAct feels a bit more developer-centric for pure headless stuff and AI agent integration. Apify has more pre-built solutions, but if you want to build custom agents, BrowserAct shines.

N Nick Hernandez 1 week ago
Browserbase is solid but BrowserAct's focus on AI agent web navigation and handling complex logins/CAPTCHAs feels a step ahead. For raw web automation, they're both good, but if AI is your thing, go with BrowserAct.

Is BrowserAct any good compared to something like Apify or Bright Data for web scraping? Trying to figure out which one to go with for a new project.

C Chris T. 1 week ago
BrowserAct is more focused on the AI agent stuff and general browser automation beyond just scraping. If your main goal is super specific data extraction, Bright Data might have more specialized tools. But for broader agent actions, BrowserAct is strong.

S Sean Davis 5 days ago
I've used Apify before and BrowserAct feels a bit more modern, especially with the LLM integration. Depends on if you need the AI agent navigation or just plain old scraping.

Anyone know if BrowserAct is good for bypassing CAPTCHAs? dealing with a lot of those lately and my current setup is failing hard.

R Richard Ramirez 3 weeks ago
That's one of their main selling points, actually. They have a built-in CAPTCHA solver, it's pretty good from my experience.
1
M Matt Smith 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they claim to handle them automatically. I've used it for a few sites with hCAPTCHA and it worked fine. Much better than trying to roll your own solution.

thinking about signing up for BrowserAct but wondering if there are any discounts for annual plans? or maybe a startup discount?

J John 1 month ago
Definitely an annual discount. I remember seeing something like 20% off if you pay yearly. They don't really do promo codes, it's more about those kinds of subscription deals.
1
A Alex White 4 weeks ago
They have startup credits too! I got some when I first signed up, you just have to apply for it. And yeah, annual billing usually gets a break.

Can you actually cancel your BrowserAct subscription anytime? or am I locked into a contract if I go with a paid plan?

J Jason Smith 1 month ago
You can cancel anytime, afaik. I signed up for a monthly plan and stopped it after a few months without any issues.
2
A Alex Taylor 1 month ago
Yeah, it's not like a long-term contract unless you specifically sign up for an annual plan, which usually has a discount associated with it but still no crazy lock-in beyond the year.
